Ziva means Brilliance

Recently my parents purchased a brand new puppy, and when they told me her name I thought they said Viva- which means life. I thought that was a rather appropriate name, considering all of my brothers and sisters are out of the house and it’s just my parents for the first time in 25 years. But when I finally met the puppy, I learned my parents did not name her Viva for life, they named her Ziva as in the popular NCIS character. They are obsessed with NCIS and after googling Ziva- I think I may be too. Oh, by the way- Ziva, unlike Viva, means Brilliance. Great job Mom, Dad and the writing team of CBS’s hit drama NCIS!
